I’m not at all surprised, that’s how it was in the DC area too. Good lord that place is crazy to drive.

I remember the first time I drove up there. I'd been in Virginia for a month and was driving a not-mine company vehicle. The phrase to best describe DC and beltway driving is "kill or be killed." Honestly though it makes sense, and why I avoid the beltway in general. I know I'll get assigned up there for work eventually, ugh. But everything in DC is political. Everyone is trying to get ahead of each other politically, dog-eat-dog, everyone's trying to screw each other over. Who can get to the top first, who can get to that exit first, trample or cut off as many people along the way, who cares, part of the game. Respect isn't a given. And that's reflected in how they drive.

Maybe I'm looking too much into this. But I've driven all over and DC was... just wow haha

It’s how parking lots are too. People think they can put their hazards on and do whatever the fuck they want. Absolutely NO consideration for others.

Great example is the Costco parking lot near where I used to live. There were plenty of spots far away but of course People didn’t want to walk. So if someone would be getting to their car they’d sit and wait with their signal on while the person loaded their car. Blocking the whole lane.

I fucking haaaaate when people would creep behind me while I’m walking to my car, trying to snipe my spot. I had so much fun ducking through rows of cars to fuck with people.

You and I, we think alike lol. If I do the turn signal thing it's only because the lot's full, and I never block the way. Otherwise, get ready for sustained horn.

The weather is nice. I got people around here asking me if those temps are true and I told them yeah. You get what you pay for though. Cali is expensive. The bums seem to have migrated around downtown area by the freeway so I stay away from there.

If you charged $20 a drive (probably could charge more, you'd make a killing. I'm from Northern MI where plowing was a normal daily occurrence, so in one snowfall here, you could make decent $$. However, it just depends on if we get snow.

...which we got none of last year, @weldertaco . But there is talk of at least some this winter! I'm stoked, this truck hasn't seen snow yet.

I know the struggle. We scheduled the movers to come get the trash but they were backed up so I loaded it up into the truck and ran to the dump. Took 2 trips.

Shoot, I’ll take it to them if it means I don’t have to pay dump fees and it’s out of my garage. But first I have to find the garage  that’s on tomorrow’s agenda.

It's totally free, you get 12 visits per year. Just need some sort of proof of residency.

Assuming you're in the city of norfolk, here's your station.

Did they actually check you off on your visit? Last few times I went, I just showed them my license and was good to go. No checks or anything.

They did for me at the chesapeake one. I had to show them a copy of my lease since I have an out of state license. I don't know if they're actually counting against my 12 but I would assume so.
