I am looking at the 6T and the 7Pro right now. I have a Pixel2, am looking to upgrade, and the price point per features on the OnePlus phones is phenomenal. A couple of questions for you (sorry to bump this thread)

    What carrier are you using?

    Do you use android auto?

Do I just grab a 6T (can get 8GB/128GB for $522) or opt up for the 7 Pro (can get for 8GB/256GB for $665)?

I'm on Verizon. If you are also, you'll have to add the cdma_less option on your plan (free).

    I don't use Android Auto.

I'm happy with the 6T, but if I didn't already have one, I'd go for the 7 Pro, being that it's newer. Maybe YouTube some 6T vs 7 Pro reviews to help you decide.

    I am on Verizon.

I'm all over youtube for this, but it's hard to find a "real world" review.

I'm on TMobile, I do not use Android auto. I have a Joying Android headunit installed in my Tacoma. It uses wifi tethered to my cellphone as a hotspot. Run apps like Pandora, waze, maps/nav etc directly from the headunit and Bluetooth connection for phone calls.

If you don't need the fanciest phone out, I'd save some money and get the cheaper of the 2. But that's just me. I'd even try to find one gently used via Craigslist or OfferUp etc.. just be diligent about vetting the phone not to be stolen or blacklisted by your Carrier.

I came from the Orginal Pixel XL to the 6T. OnePlus calls their take on Android OxygenOS. It's very similar to Android like on the Pixels, with a little extra. Not heavily skinned like Samsung or HTC. They're also unlockable like the non-VZW Pixel phones. I get updates often as well.

Biggest features the 7 Pro has over the 6T is the newer Snapdragon chip. Faster storage read/write, and the notchless 90hz screen.

My Pixel XL died, so I bought a pixel 3 xl. I then discovered the 6T a few days later. After playing with both for several days, I returned the Pixel 3.

But with the 90 Hertz screen don't you have to turn it to 60 hertz to save battery?

Yeah, though I believe OnePlus was going to release an update that will automatically scale back to 60Hz when using apps that don't need 90Hz.
