Hey guys. I was trying to take my LCAs off to do some frame painting. I was able to get the cam bolts and nuts off, and the cams can move, but the sleeve is seized in the LCA bushing. If I just leave it like this, can I still get an alignment or does that sleeve need to be able to move inside the bushing?

I hear you, but the bright side is you don’t have to do all this work just because they seized... they’re already off - now it’s just fun.

What do you mean? I still have to cut them off and buy new parts. Doesn't sound like much fun to me.

The sleeve in the bushing doesn't turn. The bolt turns inside the bushing sleeve. You stated that you removed the nuts and bolts.
    Sounds normal to me.

One side of the cam adjuster is a giant sleeve that the bolt goes through. That is stuck in the LCA bushing sleeve so I can't pull the cam adjuster out. I already took apart the other side just fine. This side doesn't come out of the LCA bushing. That's not normal.

Same here, I was under the impression the bushings aren't supposed to move and are supposed to be pressed out? Assuming we're talking about normal OEM bushings and not the poly ones.

Hey Jon, I think you misinterpreted what he's saying. You are correct that the sleeve of the OEM bushing doesn't turn because it's incapsulated in the rubber. I think what he's saying is the cam adjuster sleeve isn't turning inside the bushing sleeve. The bolt actually turns inside the cam adjuster sleeve and doesn't turn inside the bushing sleeve.

In order for an adjustment to made to the camber, the cam sleeve needs to be able to turn inside the sleeve of the bushing. If they get locked up due to corrosion, the only way to deal with it is to cut out the cam adjuster sleeve, press out the old bushings, press in new ones and install a new cam adjuster ideally coated with some anti-seize so you don't have to deal with this issue again. I slathered my cam adjuster sleeves with copious amounts of anti-seize because cutting out the adjusters sucks juevos.
