How are you guys handling camber settings? I currently have an Icon stage 5 (upgraded from an OME lift) and am not getting massive rubbing on the frame and fender liner.

The alignment specs for caster are only 1.4-1.8. I've read on here it should be more like 2.5 for lifted trucks (mine is a 2016). This extra caster will also help my rubbing since it'll push my tire forward a bit.

However, my camber is already 0.4-0.6. Maybe coming from a lower car background I can't stand the look of positive camber so I want that closer to 0.0. From what I've read adding more caster is going to make that positive camber even worse.

I posted some pics in another thread showing the adjustment bolts and people said if I try to get more caster, I'll end up with more positive camber.

I had better alignment specs and no rubbing when I had stock uppers, but now with the aftermarket uppers my alignment seems worse and my tires rub. So outside of the additional travel, which is why I got them, I don't see the point of upper arms anymore.

I've also looked around for some aftermarket lower arms, but those are way too much and don't offer camber adjustment.

With all of that said, what are you guys doing? Just running 2.5 or so caster settings and way positive camber settings?

Yep. Icon's tubular arms. That's the whole reason I swapped to Icon. Upper arms with extended travel coilovers.

With how bad my tires rub, I'm not sure even a cab mount chop is going to fix it. I'll be doing that Sunday so we'll see. The flares and fender lines are already cut back to the body. They rub too. Haha

have you been to a good alignment shop? With the caster built into those arms they should be able to use your Lcas to get you a better alignment.

How much lift? A measurement from hub center to fender will help.

It's a shop I've gotten all of my "race cars" done. The only difference this time is I didn't give specs. Just hey align this thing.

I had an OME kit previously. So somewhere between 2-2.5".

I also turned up the Icon a little more than what they arrive at. Maybe an extra 0.5" on the coilover sleeve. Less than their max though.

If you're close to a 3" lift you're probably not going to be seeing 3° of caster with Icon tubular arms. Even camburg will tell you their arms aren't meant for that amount of lift(for caster purposes).

If I didn't care about the extra downtravel I'd just throw on the stock control arms. I guess I just don't understand what the point of aftermarket arms is besides the extra travel.

I have the exact same amount of of lift as I did with the old kit (well within 1/4") and now my tires rub. And I can't get any extra caster than I could with my stock arms. Oh well. Live and learn I guess.

I think light racing ucas are the only ones that are adjustable for camber and caster.

These worked like a hot damn on the last 3" lift I installed, got 2.5 caster and 0 camber with little to no fighting.

My truck has 2.5 with no arms and I'm sitting with some positive Camber on my winter tires. It's bothering me....I may install these arms.

Icon billet arms offer quite a bit of camber/caster adjustment on the UCA, but they're pricey.

Stock control arms will lower your caster.

So I took at the pre-alignment specs. Look at that. Way more caster and almost the same camber. I'll head back to the alignment shop Tuesday and see what they can do.

The lift is definitely not three inches. I'll grab a measurement but should be closer to 2.5.

I think you need to go back to the alignment shop and ask for 0,0,3
It seems as if they just went by the green on the computer but no actual experience on lifted trucks

I know I have a 1st gen but these are the alignment specs I got doing my own alignment at my college auto shop with our fancy new laser alignment machine. LOL! I have Icon 2.5 Extended travel CO's w/ Camburg UCA's.

Yeah they just didn't know what they were doing IMO. They definitely were just looking to get it in the green and go. That tells me they can get caster to 3 with camber close to 0 no problem.
