Okay, well I'd try to, as they're only $90 and well you get a lot of piece of mind for $90 with them on, Especially since you coil-bucket has been weakened with a stress-fracture already (yes I know you're going to repair it, but it's never as strong as it used to be).

It's save to do it anytime, but before romping the crap out of it is preferred, as you're going to go bigger, faster, and harder with LT on the truck, so the loads on the front end are going increase tremendously.

eric, it's pretty obvious you have pushed this truck well past it's limits. i'm willing to bet big money there are many more cracks or parts close to failing that you have yet to discover.

my advice, leave the truck on jacks for a while. do not rush this install in order to be able to make an offroad trip for new years. you need to finish building the truck. start looking at every nut, bolt, and square inch of the truck for probelems and address them as needed. do not, try to "band-aid fix" your current issues in order to make a gnar new years glamis trip or where ever the fuck your planning to go.

like i said before, you are trying to run a truck w/ "stock" suspension like it's a trophy truck. i'm not trying to be a dick, but you are still obviously new to this sport.

just because your truck is caged, that does not mean shit can't still go wrong. you have alread rolled the truck, what's going to happen next time...?

i have pushed the truck way past its limits and i know that. i do drive like a bat out of hell 18 year old kid. i bet you are right there probably is cracks and stuff everywhere, over the next 2 weeks im going to be going over every square inch of this truck that i can, and try to prep it as good as i can. i have never actually prepped my truck. but its something i need to start doing often if i plan on driving like i am now.

the truck will stay on jacks for 2 weeks, im going on this trip no matter what, its a yearly trip, it will be there lol. i under stand what your saying, but if i prep it more now than i ever have i will be better off than if i havent.

i know your not being a dick, im a 18 yearold, and a stubborn one at that. sometimes i need to get slapped around to get put into the right direction which has happened many times on this site and i thank all of you for doing that. i am somewhat new to the truck scene, but i was practically born in the desert, racing since i was 5. i know what bad can happen, i have seen people die in trucks a couple times because people get drunk, dont wear seat belts, or done have proper saftey equipment. i did my best for my safety before i go long travel because i dont want to kill myself.

the truck is caged for a reason, to protect me. if i roll it, i do. shit happens. theres a reason i got it caged haha.

deal, can they be done by new years?

    he sure does.

if you pull the bolts to the steering rack you can move it enough to get the lower bolts out. much better then dealing with the high pressure lines and pulling the whole thing

thanks, my main problem right now is the bolt going into the bottom of the rack holding it into place is stripped... so my dad is going to bring home a special socket to help get it off

That's my point though... Some prep may be better than no prep but your still half assing shit. You are putting fun before safety. You have a cage but do you have foam pads on the tubes next to you melon? You wear a helmet? You don't have a fuel cell? Got a fire extinguisher for when you roll again and your shit catches on fire?

You say that you are aware you are 18 and dumb... So be smart and do something about it. But fuck it... It's your call.

link to where i can get foam pads? when im strapped in my head doesnt even com close to any tube. if my head was within 4 inches from a tube i was going to wear a helmet but im good in that department.

i have a fuel cell, but its waiting to go in till the cage is completely done. i do have a fire extinguisher:)

im doing everything about it that i can at this point in time

Sorry to tell you this, but a cage doesn't really guarantee your safety at all. The cage is nice to have but don't kid yourself by thinking your going to be fine if you roll it since you have one.

As for the prep, if you've never done it your probably going to go find all sorts of shit just hanging on by a thread (maybe literally). Cracks can come from all over so check every place from front to rear.

I agree , there so many cracks and stuff. Its got to get looked over. And everything gots to be gusseted. I would try to save money and build or have someone build secondary shock hoops just for support, I mean the price from TC is too much. Im going to build some coil buckets supports later.
