ok it would be at full droop right now so i thought it should fit. ill undo the upper ball joint and lower the lower down farther.

is the top mounts i have right?

Are you sure its a 8" shock? lol

But undo the UCA ball-joint and then install the shock, then use a jack to raise it up to mate with spindle with the UCA.

No no no. That's full droop? Sure doesn't look like it.
You should be able to squeeze the shock in (mine took a prybar and my foot) at full droop.

Also remove ALL the preload off the spring. Spin that all the way to the top.

i thought the 4WD kits need the lower "cone" style coil mount... not that flat style mount

and yea, now way is the kit at full droop

can't see how they would be different, the spindle/hub location isn't moved since the cv's are there... IDK my 4WD experiance/knowledge is limited

After you unhook the upper arm will your suspension droop with the axle still in it? I dont have 4wd so I dont know if the axle will flex that far

Yeah im in the same boat lol. I know my kit uses a shorter shock (14 3/8 collapsed) and his uses a standard 8" shock. So maybe it doesnt need the cone lower?

Connical shape is to keep the coil away from the axle.
This is what full droop with axles and very shitty quality is supposed to look like:

yeah, that's what i'm saying... regardless of the kit, on a 4WD truck i would think the cv will be in the same location so a lower cone coil mount is necesssary for 4WD TC anc burg kits...

i can play the pic game too lol

yeah its a 8 inch shock lol i measured:)

it is full droop for sure.
i moved the collar all the way to the top and i think i can just collapse the shock some. even with the upper arm off and the lower all the way drooped possible it still about 2 inches off. ill get a picture

uh oh.... anthony ran it with 4wd? it is full droop for sure
yes it droops like another 2 inches

im sending a pic to live right now

thats with the upper arm off and the lower allll the way down, absolutly no preload on the shock. do i need to compress the shock to make it fit?

how did you measure to make sure the shock is an 8"?

did you remove the coil? you should not have the compress the shock to make it fit

you measure ex and col lengths from center lower mount to top coil mount... which means you need to remove the coils springs. those shocks look like 10's... and take out all the preload like we told you girlfriend!!!
