    Post install issues.
CMC is not enough for 315’s on 16x9 with 4” backspace. Will be doing cab mount relocation from All Pro next weekend.
Obvious is the need to get alignment. Tomorrow.

Install straight forward. Camburg didn’t disappoint. LCA & UCA are stout. May need to lessen pre-load off of ADS ext travel coilovers.

Waiting on alignment to truly assess ride.

Had 2” trimmed off of fender and a CMC before install this weekend. After alignment and cab mount relocation, coilover may need adjustment for less preload. Just need to see how it all works together.

Hey @bhova not yet, it’s at my freight forwarder But they are closed on weekends and holidays so I’ll have to go tomorrow! I won’t install until my fiberglass arrives! How are you liking yours?? What differences do you feel and how much preload did you have to back off?

    @af73
Huge improvement in ride quality. The wider track width and sway bar removal softened up the ride noticeably. Haven’t thought of lessening pre-load since before an alignment was done.
What size tire are you running or gonna run? Any changes planned for the rear?
I’m gonna run spacers but need to swap out for longer studs.

@bhova what shocks are you running? My kit is all installed and will be taking it in for alignment tomorrow so after that I should have some decent feedback for those interested. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the whole kit, kinetic arms, slapper bumps and all, but have extended travel Fox 2.5 reservoirs for shocks still. I will try and get some actual numbers sometime this week as far as travel but am wondering how pressing it is to go for the 7.7 inch travel vs the 4.9 I currently have (at the shock). Just trying to see if I am going to change shocks what everyone else is seeing from their brands and models.

@Strekcorp I’m running ADS shocks, extended travels with reservoir.
How difficult was that slapper to weld/install? What size tire/wheel?
Curious to hear your report after alignment. Made all the difference for me.

Can you use an LT shock on this kit? It's marketed as using the OE replacement shocks which leads me to believe you'll be limited by extended & collapsed lengths. It'll be interesting to hear your feedback later on once you measure travel, etc.

Honestly not difficult. Mostly because I do not trust my welding on my truck that I have put wayyyy too much money into so I had someone else do it. Only labor I had was swiping the card lol. 16s for the wheel and 275/70 R16 for the tire. I do not understand how all these guys say 33s without rubbing, I had 31s and rubbed even with the caster pushed up, so hopefully this kit helps with that. I have a CMC pending in the next few weeks JIC. Ill let you guys know the travel sometime this week and if I need to trim.

@desertjunkie760 I feel like you can use a LT shock which is why I was thinking the 7.7 long travel fox's that go on the total chaos and the Marlin crawler kit but I have to check the travel as it sit before I see if I can really run more droop. I do not see why you cant run an LT shock just looking at it, but also I just gotta get it back up and see how much play is left in the slapper to know what I would get from the LT shocks as opposed to the extended travels I have.

I was told by Camburg when i inquired about it, the answer was no. Think it has something to do with the way the mounting of the shock is oriented if you look at typical LT arms compered to these.

Haven't forgotten about this thread. I will update anyone interested as information comes along. At this point with the extended travel foxes (OEM fit kinda) I am seeing my droop is limited substantially by the shocks. The maximum space I have from the from the fender is about 10 inches at full droop. I cannot really get the truck compressed all the way to find out the full articulation values but general math tells me its about a 1.5 motion ratio give or take (A little less I think) and the shocks only have 4.9 inches of travel. Again basic math tells the that I am looking at about 7.35 inches of total travel....with a long travel kit. I cannot fully compress the coilover and measure at this time but eyeballing it with as much compression as I can get tells me the slapper has still almost an inch and a half of travel to bottom out BEFORE the shock has already bottomed out. Seeing as I had to remove the bumpstops to get the slapper kit in and the long travel shocks are shorter when compressed it seems this is the fit, but in talking with accutune they dont think so either. Contacting camburg to see what is going on.

@Brian422 Yeah I was like something is not right here. I actually went out and remeasured and here is what I got:
for 3 and 1/2 inches (3.5 inches) of wheel travel, I am seeing the shock length change 1 and 7/8 inches (1.875 inches). By comparing these ratios I get a relative ratio of 1.866 etc, so for every inch the shock moves the wheel should move 1.8666. Knowing what the shock travel is and knowing at full droop the only thing impinging on the articulation is the shock itself I am guessing 4.9 x 1.866 = 9.14 inches of wheel travel with the extended coilovers. This sounds closer to right. And yeah sway bar gone. People say around "8 inches" for a factory tacoma but I cannot seem to find anything with actual numbers. I guess I shouldn't rage post before I double check the math.

@Redfive11 Honestly I feel so attacked by that statement lol. No camburg did not do the install another local shop in south texas did and it was a hassle. Spent about a week correcting errors and still have some work to do. Sent it to a shop because I didnt wanna flat back a long travel kit in my parking lot and ended up flat backing it in my parking lot to fix numerous problems that took longer than the install would have.

Its a long story but essentially they assured me they knew what they were doing and just didn't. Bolts not torqued to spec, bolts actually finger tight and a missing bolt on the skidplate. This led to further investigation that they had blown out every single skidplate mount with impacts. I had to drop the plate and drill out the mounts and put time serts in which took about an hour and a half per hole and finally killed my favorite drill. They left bare metal all over the frame for the slapper install, left brake brackets unattached, pushed the electrical master cable assembly that runs on the driver side (I dont know the actual name) into the header and to top it off did not refill the diff after pulling the axles, which they had to send to another shop to actually reboot for the longer shafts. Not to mention to alignment was boogered. Getting everything back to how it should be was 12-16 hours total to fix because I had to repull the axles and replace the seals as well on the front diff. Its not a crazy install, I just had the money to have a professional do it and didnt want to do it outside. No one will treat your truck the way you will apparently.

Wasn't meant to attack you. Most errors happen during install. Sounds like this is the case with yours. Sounds like the company that did the install had no idea what they were doing.
