:) Here's an idea that works great. Ever think about installing the rear
view mirror from Mito Corp. In the video the guy just reach's up and
pulls the pre-installed wire from the head liner. Not so easy, well
just turn the visor down and un-hook from the plastic carrier, turn
it counter clock wise and it comes off. Do both sides and the headliner
comes down enough to find the wire. Be careful and look for two
silver clips to put back on inside the top console. If in doubt go
to a body shop and have a tech show you. I saved $200.00 by
buying direct from Mito, not Toyota. 3.5 screen is $400 and the 2.5 screen is a little cheaper. You must have a pre-installed camera in
the tailgate to have this work. I have an 09 Tacoma Prerunner.
    Good luck

What a great tip, it saved me from dropping the overhead console.
You're correct, allowed enough additional room to get my fat, stubby fingers in there to grab the wiring.

I only found one silver clip, and I have no idea where it needs to go, :-(

    Again, thanks so much!
