i just use a single propane burner (one used for frying or boiling), I really have it for crawfish boils but figure no need to buy a camping stove

This one is a bit more for all the stove collectors on the forums, especially ones with older style primus stoves.

Has anyone tried one of the modern reproductions from Garrett Wade at all? If so, how did they do?

    https://www.garrettwade.com/classic-burners-for-travel-remote-cooking-gp.html

I'm liking the appearance, but at this point, I doubt I'll be introducing a third type of fuel into my camping loadout, though I may just for when I go camping with my fishing club.

For backpacking, my SO other and I share an MSR pocket rocket.

She carries her own fuel and I carry my own (to distribute weight) and we share the stove when needed. It's great and boils water within 3-4 minutes, and works well for small pans when cooking some meat or eggs, etc.

For car camping, I've got a white gas Coleman that's never let me down.

Just kidding, but this is my favorite white gas stove. It's like the SR-71 of stoves. For most camp cooking we use a cheap coleman propane and a MSR Windburner for coffee. I like the pocket rocket 2 for coffee/backpacking in mild wind.

I mean, if there's 32 stoves in a collection, at a glance, no one would notice a 33rd...

I have an old-school Coleman two-burner stove that I found at a thrift store for $10. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it will certainly get used a few times this summer. I don't think anybody has ever used it!

Blackstone 2 burner 22” griddle. Has cooked anything we’ve wanted so far. I’ve used it with the 1lb tanks and my bulk tank.

I've got a couple of stoves. There's a Jetboil that lives in the back of the truck along with the accessories (including the coffee press). When I'm going camping for more than a night I carry an old school Coleman two burner (mine is from the '80s although I've got my grandfather's from the '50s as well- still works fine). I've got one of the propane adapters for it so I can use it with a 1# cylinder or connect it to my 11# tank. With the manifold post you can put a lantern on top of it (Coleman compact) and run a Buddy Heater too.

Additionally I've got one of the Gas One GS-3400P stoves that will also use propane but I primarily have it for cooking samgyupsal. There are a couple of the Coleman single burner stoves around as well including my Peak 1 from my Boy Scout days in the '80s and my grandfather's old green model.

As an added bonus, I've got a couple of Coleman lanterns of various vintages and two of the Coleman 513 heaters.

I’ve got a Camp Chef Rainier Combo stove and I really like it. It’s nice to have a burner and a grill I’m not a huge fan of having to clean dishes while camping so it’s good for burger, kababs, and things like that but also nice to have a burner for coffee in the morning.

We've been using a two burner camp chef explorer. Absolutely love the thing, but it's super inconvenient for one night, two person camp trips, which we do nearly every weekend.

So being on the hunt for a new one.. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted and researched A LOT. Smaller size, great simmer control, able to make coffee easily, durable, easy to clean. We bought the Camp Chef Ranger II yesterday and are beyond impressed with it so far. I cooked an egg on it right away to test it and it simmers well, has great output (17,000 BTU per burner), it comes with a 5' gas line to use a large propane tank, it's very durable compared to a typical two burner camp stove. And huge, unexpected bonus, it fits absolutely perfectly inside the grooves of the tailgate. (because of design, the bottom doesn't get very hot and it has little legs so the burners aren't resting on the tailgate either.)

Another vote for the Camp Chef stoves. I have a Camp Chef Denali for camping out of the Tacoma. It has two burners and a griddle in the middle. We like the fact that the stove runs off of one propane tank instead of two. This saves space when laying out your cooking area. For backpacking, we use a Primus.
