    I used to see quite a few Toyota Pickups with the frame mounted camper bodies on them, usually on a Hilux or "Pre-Tacoma" pickup.
    I have even seen one or two with a tag axle behind the drive axle for better ride and handling.
    Why don't you see any 1st, 2nd. or 3rd Gen Tacomas like that?
    Does anyone even offer the camper conversion for the newer Tacos? it would seem a V-6 long bed chassis would be ideal for that type of conversion.

    Truck Campers are a far better option. Less permanent and more cost effective.
