does anyone here run a camper shell and RTT on their truck and actually wheel it? and trust it?

I've been running an ARB simpson III tent on a modified KBVOODOO high rise bed bars setup for the last year, and I am looking at space contraints when the wife and daughter want to come out camping. I run a Tonneau cover to keep everything organized and relatively dry, and keep most of the dust out.

last camping trip we had the bed PACKED!! and I've trimmed down my camping gear as much as possible.. 1 plano box for camping gear, 1 plano box for recovery, spare fluids, and tools,1 AWP pro backpack with tools, Cooler, leveling blocks, 3 Jerry cans (2 fuel, 1 water), camp stove, and camp table. the rest was daughters tent, sleeping bag, mattress pad, clothing, and her friends stuff.

only options now are getting a smaller cooler, or 12v fridge (currently run a lifetime 77Qt (I liked the 77qt seals better than the 55Qt, and with about a 1/3 of it taken up by ice its necessary for long trips with 3-4 people) a camper shell would make that transition easier. and give more space... just looking at options. not sure on the load capability of a camper shell with me and the wife and the RT it would have to be able to hold at most 500lbs static, 200 dynamic. thanks

yes I know I could get a hitch cargo carrier and use it for the fuel/water cans and cooler... but i dont really trust them in rough logging roads that i usually ride on...

Add a roof rack and put some stuff up there? Seen tons of Pelican and Plano cases up there. Most people throw recovery gear up there. I was thinking about putting all my dry camping goods up there.

this is my current setup (inferno tacoma on the left) modified brackets are 3" taller than the KBVoodoo brackets. there are other mods in the works, but this one is a concern for future family trips.
