I am just curious ... Do any of you guys remove your top to load high items?

How difficult to remove and can 2 people lift it and balance top easily? Do I have to dig into the OEM wiring or is there an available plug to use?

I now have a hardcover and may take a long trip and a shell might be better on a long trip. I can remove the hardcover by myself if I am careful and slow.

PS. Are the shells truly waterproof? ........ Thanks

You will need 2 people to take the shell off, they are pretty heavy. Mine leaks a very small amount but I used a cheap seal when I resealed it. I'm going to get a better seal and give that a try

Just bought a Ranch Sierra new. Tilt-down front slider (free promotion), sliding screened side windows (standard), reinforced roof (standard), dome light (standard) Dual t-handle locks (standard),headliner(optional $125). All in, painted and installed, $1200 plus tax. I'll post pics when I get it in a couple weeks. The salesman invited me to stand on the roof of a demo model at his shop (I declined) but from my profile pic, you can see how confident he is in the strength of his roof. He said he sold Leers for years but got tired of people coming back with sagging roofs that held water. We'll see.
