    Definitely run a search on the third gen forum. Lot of good stuff on what people run.

    You basically have the choice of and aluminum/steel or a fiberglass top. Usually the metal ones (RSI, Alucab, etc) are lighter and stronger but don’t “match” the truck as much as a fiberglass one. If you go fiberglass, make sure to think about how much weight you’ll be putting on top since they are prone to cracks and failure if you have too much weight and tend to go on rough roads.

    Here is my ARE CX HD fiberglass topper. Ran about $2600 with windoors, sliding front window, and the rack which has a reinforced skeleton that can hold up to 500lb. The metal ones are usually a bit more ($3000-3500+) but in my opinion are better built and can hold more weight. You can spot my buddy’s alu-cab in the back. I’m super impressed by the features and durability of the alu-cabs!
