Same story for me, I went with Raider because the price was way better. But it's the exact same shell as the 100xr

I mounted all my Yakima gear right up to the Thule tracks in my shell. They're interchangeable

I can not speak for Leer but my dealer charged me $85 each for the windoors on my ARE order for the short bed Overland model.. That was just a few days ago.

I had an A.R.E. MX series from 2006 up until now and the hardware on the rear window was garbage. When it broke, it was a pain in the ass to get the place I got it to order the replacement parts. When the parts finally came in, the bar that locks into the side when you close it was the wrong size. When I pointed that out, they said they no longer made that same part and the shop used a grinder to make that one fit.
(Which it didn't really) I had to go back with a hand file on my own to make it actually be able to close.
On my new truck I just went with a Leer 100RCC. Two handles instead of one, and no long metal bars pivoting on a plastic frame. Hopefully this holds up better.
I haven't had it long enough to actually say if it's better, but those are the only two I have experience with.

Are there any cosmetic differences between the 100RCC and the 100XR? I too was looking at the 100RCC and putting sliding windoors. Is the rear window auto locking on the 100RCC?

I can't speak on the cosmetic differences, but this is a Leer 100RCC. Maybe check the Leer website or ask your local camper shell dealer

I’ve only had the SnugTop Rebel a few days, but I’m really happy with it. I got the Sportsman’s package, which has the reinforced shell that can support 500lbs.

I've had a SnugTop Rebel on since a month after purchasing the truck and while costly, it's been a good investment. I could've snagged a brand new showroom model for around $2k, but it was lacking all the features I wanted, so I ended up spending around $3300 for it because I wanted the Sportsman Package, the Sliding Windoors, and the Yakima Roof Rails. I haven't seen much value in the Sportsman Package or Yakima rails *yet*, but the Sliding Windoors have been worth their weight in gold both for work and camping. No matter which brand you get, if you're buying new, it's worth it to spring for this option if you use your bed a lot and plan to sleep in the back.

I think the most important thing you gotta do is get a shell that is rated to handle weight on top. I kind of regret getting the V series instead of the HD because now I dont feel confident putting heavy cargo or an rtt up there, even with yakima rails

Anyone of with Leer 100XR with windoors (without sliders), that use for camping found any solution for ventilation overnight? I know the windoors open all the way up, but I', looking for something to hold them halfway down, just to let some air enter in the back of the truck when sleeping.

PS: FReaking awesome canopy by the way.

I would make some kind of limiter or keeper leash to hold them part way open. There's a lot of folks on the GFC threads that have done something similar to the side hatches.

Just priced out these exact same options and you got a steal compared to what my quote was going to be.
