Hey Frank! Is it water tight where you have the mount going through the top?

it looks like he used some type of sealant on the holes..

not to thread jack but i was curious to see how some people mount their RTT's to their camper.. Feel like a camper shell wouldn't be strong enough for a RTT..

The top of my camper shell is re-enforced and is pretty strong. I was looking into getting a pipe/ladder rack that would go outside my shell to mount whatever the hell I wanted to up there.

I put a Thule system on top of my shell:

[IMG] Two tracks mounted to the shell permanently, with crossbars that come and go easily.

I would suggest getting a the rail system like is shown here on the A.R.E site.
    http://www.4are.com/product/yakima/

I have this on both of my trucks. That way I can move the rack from one to the other. It is also nice to be able to adjust it depending on what I am carrying (Bikes, canoe, RTT, etc). I used to have the fixed Yakima system and wasn't able to move it. It worked great for hauling my canoe, but once I got the bike rack, it was too far apart to use with the bike rack.

Box Rocket, are those custom attachments for the Thule bars? I have the same topper and I am looking for a solution to attach a front runner roof rack.

I like this idea. Did the basket come with all the parts necessary?

Easiest and most flexible thing to do is just get the roof rails installed. Thule and Yakima are the same. You can do it yourself or take it to any canopy dealer and they can do it for you. Then you can mount whatever you want and have the ability to move the mounting points forward or backwards along the track for best position. Don't have any good pics but the rails worked awesome for the Prinsu.

When you say they're the same, do you mean you can interchange Yakima / Thule components? Yakima track / Thule snowboard attachments?

The actual black metal tracks are the same for both Yakima and Thule; they're just standard tracks. What system you decide to use is up to you, but either company's towers will fit in the tracks, regardless the brand.

It's a customized toprac I got back in '15. Zach was super helpful and totally willing to cater to my design ideas, questions, and offer insights. Love it!

What are the dimension of the silver-colored plates shown here (the ones that appear beneath the black tightening knobs)? Did these plates come with the rack or did you purchase these separately at a hardware store? Thanks!
