I have an 09 double cab short bed Tacoma. What size shell would I be looking for? I'm asking because I've seen one for a 2003 Dakota
    5'6" long, 5'2" wide and 1'9" tall
    Would that work?
    Thanks

I seriously doubt it will work. Years ago bed sizes were pretty standard but today there are so many different sizes and shapes that few, if any will interchange. At least do it and look right. Sometimes they will clamp on the bed rails, but may not fit well enough to be watertight. You really need to find one specific to a 2nd gen Tacoma with 5.5' bed.

if you’re looking a fiberglass shell, you’ll need DCSB specific as they conform the to the cab and bed sides.

And if looking used, good luck, it’s waiting game, especially if you want one already color matched

Most Tacoma shells overhang the beds, and also the bed is slightly tapered I believe.

You need a specific shell for a Tacoma. Took me months to find a used one for cheap
