If you can do it and don't mind, please post up some pics of that Rebel once you have it on your truck!

Affirmative, will picture parade as soon as I get it, which can't come soon enough, tired of throwing a hefty bag over the wheelchair so my back cushion doesn't get soaked with all this rain! Was hoping it would be here in time for a Christmas road trip, but more likely won't be till sometime early January. Also getting the bedrug.

I have ordered the new Leer 100 XR in early november. Got a phone call yesterday, it's in production and I should get it in a week or two. I will post pics as soon as I get it. Can't wait!

May I ask what that Leer 100XR set you back and what options you went with?

Sure you may! But remember these are canadian $. First the options:
    Folding back window
Windoors (side windows opens like the door)
    Black liner
    Light with door switch
8 Hooks inside on the ceiling
Remote door lock (that I will wire myself, saved$ and job will be better. Already did the tailgate mod)
Thule Roof rack C/W aerobars for my kayaks.
    The whole 9 yards...

I have a project in mind for this thing, will post when it's done.
    Set me back 3100$can +TX

I think the Rebel looks great, but for some reason the fact that the shell comes down so close to the TRD graphics kind of bothers me!

Me too. But I think the biggest reason they're so close is that the TRD decals are much higher on the 3rd gens.

I have a Rebel on order. I'm getting windoors and they are same size on the XV or the Rebel. In other words, there's only one size windoor (for a particular length) so you DON'T get bigger windoors on the XV. I do believe the XV has a slightly larger front window, but that would matter less if you have the smaller side windows. The XV does have a more robust latching mechanism for the rear door that is worth something, but not the $500 delta. At least not to me.

Some background on pricing: I live in an expensive area with no major cities nearby, so we get hosed on dealer purchased items in general. For instance, our local Toyota dealer is asking $2k over MSRP for Tacoma's. So, when I got a quote from the local Snugtop dealer, it was high. I called some other dealers, 45 minutes and 1.5 hours away and they had better prices the farther away I called. I really wanted to buy locally so I would not have to deal with long trips for warrantee work. I called back the local dealer and got them to reduce the price to the point where it was worth it for the reduced travel and lower warrantee hassle. So, here's where I ended up. You will see a lot of "I think's" in here because the final price was negotiated as out-the-door so I can't really say what the actual individual prices would be under the final deal.

    Rebel for short bed
Drop slider front window ($125 extra maybe?)
Vented windoors both sides (I think this was $260 or something like that)
Keyless entry rear hatch (I think this is $250 list on the Rebel and a little less on the XV because the lock is already upgraded)
Sportsman Package (reinforces roof to handle up to 500lbs and includes a (worthless on short bed) fishing rod holder; gives me the option of a RTT. This is not a cheap option. I think it's $260 list price)
    Dome light (probably standard)
    Headliner (free in December)
Tracks for roof rack (holding off on actual rack until I decide what direction I am going; also SnugTop is not likely to be the low-cost leader on roof rack components) I think this was $200 list.

-The numbers were juggled a bit to come out to a grand total as agreed, but cost of the shell WITH upgrades is listed as $2499.99
-Labor is $300. This includes wiring the keyless lock to the truck locks so I don't need to carry an extra fob. It's also probably high to make the other numbers work. Also, they can probably already tell I'm going to be a PITA, so the are budgeting for the hassle.
-Total with our significant CA sales tax is $2999.99 (almost like magic how that came out!)

If I were willing to drive 1.5 hours away, I could have saved about $300 off of this price out the door (though, it wasn't entirely clear if that price included hooking up to the door locks). That's $100/hr round trip savings, but only if everything goes perfect. It's not unheard of to have problems with SnugTop and they really need to be resolved at the dealer level. Plus, I prefer to support local businesses (unless they are asking $2000 over MSRP like the Toyota dealer).

Wow, that looks great! That's pretty much exactly what I have on order (though I am getting the reinforced roof and the power lock for the hatch). You got a much better deal. how long did you have to wait for it?

Easy fix. I always remove the TRD STICKERS as soon as I get home from the dealer. Looks so much cleaner to me.

I'm still awaiting delivery of my truck and I'm planning on putting a Snugtop Rebel on it as well. I was wondering if someone could measure from the bed floor to the roof. I'm wondering if there will be enough room to transport some road bikes in there if I remove the front wheels and build a stand with some quick release clamps that lock the front fork. I'm just looking for a way to easily transport bikes without leaving them exposed on an external bike rack.

Thanks for the info. I'm only 5'7 and ride a 51 cm road bike, so I think it should work. The other bikes I would transport are 49 cm. I'll have to do some additional measurements just to make sure.

Do you have any pics of your highliner and the setup you have for transporting your bike?

The only pics I have I've posted here but are from my 2010 with an ARE MX with my single and our tandem.
I'll have to take some and update I guess.
