Camper top isn't aligned with the top of my Tacoma

Okay. So I purchased a camper top that came off a 97 taco for my 02. The camper top fits on all sides but the top is too short. Does anyone have any tips for me ? Picture below to show what I'm talking about. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all input!

UPDATE: Called H&h made for a 2000-2005 nissan frontier.. must have the same bed as the taco. Knowing that. Anyone got any ideas/thoughts ?

 

Just what do you mean "The Top is to Short"

Do You mean the cap from the bed side to the top is to low ??

Fits the bed fine. On the top its too "short" meaning the roof doesn't meet the roof of the truck.

 

In my opinion, sell it and buy one that fits. You can find them on CL faily cheap if you don't give up looking.

 

Sell and buy another.

 

How much do you think I could sell it for ?

What did you pay for it? the truck is after all 14 years old.

I got mine for $200, I just replaced the rear window shocks and all was well.

Wow. You found a color match or did you paint it? I've been looking forever and I found one that is gold that someone has from a 1999 tacoma the make is Creation.. never heard of it. He's asking $350 for it and wont budge... So frustrating

 

No, the color was what it is. Got lucky I guess. Keep searchin, it will come.

 

I searched long and hard for a topper, and found one similar to this; different color, too short, and it was also heavy as #$%&! Didn't help that the jack ass who was selling it dropped his side when we were checking the fitment and scraped up my truck..

A few weeks later I saw a Tacoma identical to mine for sale at a used car lot about 5 hrs drive from where I lived. It had a really nice leer topper on it great condition, carpeted inside, sliding windows, etc. I called the dealer and asked them if they would sell the topper. I figured it probably wouldn't affect the resale value of the truck, especially since it had been sitting on their lot for a while. They quoted me $300 cash for that topper. I immediately hopped in my truck, stopped by the bank, and drove 5 hours to pick it up.

Here's mine,
Silver Mist body with a white she'll. It doesn't look bad at all. Keep looking, don't get discouraged. FYI, the Xtra cab has a higher ceiling than the regular cab so keep that in mind when searching.

Do you guys know if a double cab with a camper top would fit right on an ext cab?

No, Cab's are different in the rear.
