I'm just not sure if I want a wider one or not. Maybe I'll get a regular width and try it out, if it's uncomfortable I'll just give it to my gf and buy the wide width..

Same. Plus, part of the reason I go camping is so I can do things at my own pace. I'm never really in a hurry to pack up camp and hit the trails so I don't mind taking a few extra minutes to roll up a sleeping pad. Especially, if it helps me sleep better throughout the night.

Sometimes you just gotta get in your miles for the day, and every minute counts. I like to get up early, get the hiking done, and relax in the afternoon. Ironic, because I hate mornings and I'd go as slow as a turtle if I had my way.

Anyone have anything bad to say about the ENO doublenest? That is what I was originally looking at but it was pricey... right now they are on sale.

There's no suspension included with them so really they aren't much cheaper. I just ordered the Dutch with hexon 2.4 and a ridgeline last night. $50 shipped to me...if I wanted a wide one it would have been $65, or the wide without the ridgeline (essentially the doublenest) under $60.

I still see them at $70. Isn't that normal price?

You could see if @SalmonTaco has any more 40% off coupons and get a Thermarest slacker double...normally $80 would be $48 plus shipping.

ENO is good. But just basic and no suspension. On the heavy side if you're using it for backpacking. I use ENO for our backyard hammocks but not for backpacking or even car camping.

I am looking into Bear Butt hammocks right now. Apparently they are a start up

What's your choice then? Recommendations for the lightest weight but strongest hammock for us big guys? You gals are lucky and can hang in those ultra lightweight hammocks

I looked and it says the ENO is only 20oz. OutdoorGearLab has a nice list and a lot of them are about there. Some higher, some lower, but 20oz certainly isn't too heavy to backpack with.

I backpack with mine. Granted, I'm not into ultralight or anything but at 20 oz it's not that heavy.

That's just the hammock. Add whatever suspension system to that weight.

I bought this little lantern for the next fishing trip :p I tried it at home and I am pretty satisfied of the light output.
