You mean that the pay increase associated with being a mod isn't enough to cover the cost of a nice travel trailer?

yeah, Bob's kinda mean that way.

but I have been searching for a trailer. Want something smaller, lightweight - they go pretty quickly around here. I spend enough time outdoors, figured it would a worthwhile investment to get a trailer.

I need to find an antique travel trailer that's in halfway decent shape that I can fix up and haul behind the '69. That'll be about the only way I can get the GF to go camping with me. I'd like one of the old small airstreams, but they've gone nuts price-wise the last few years.

I've considered those but they lack any sort of interior storage - where do you put clothes? linens? coats? Maybe the 179 or 180 but the other floor plans have zero storage/cabinetry

More and more folks are remodeling/refinishing older trailers now days. What most folks would have cast aside are now a hot item to fix up and flip.

Yep. And I'm sure I'll end up settling on an old canned ham style trailer or something. But Airstreams keep calling out to me.
    Because one of these:

Just a bunch of old crap
So Enlightened Equipment has extended their turnaround time for their quilts, and my original estimate of 8-10 weeks has gone up to 12-14 weeks. They said they won't have my quilt done until mid August, which is after the big trip I want this quilt for :( I'm bummed, and am crossing my fingers that my Revelation will be done in time before I leave.

Sounds about right. I don't mind one that needs interior work or polishing, etc. But even the ones that need a LOT of work are fetching stupid $$$. There was a gutted out caravel that had more than a couple dents for sale around here last month that the owner wanted $7k for. :bananadead:

it was pretty nice. The owners were eyeing my RTT and I was eyeing the Chevy. When I asked the guy if it was a 52 or 53 he was a little dumbfounded. Not often do people nail it let alone people who are half as old as the truck. His wife was funny, as soon as I showed a little interest in the truck he launched into telling me all about it and she just said "I'll just leave you two to talk..." Guess she'd heard it all before...

the one I mentioned was all redone, pretty spotless. 15k for it was nothing.

Getting the 179. Hate to send you down the rabbit hole but there's a million mods that can be done for storage...

Lol. That's a cheesy slogan to hang their hat on!

I don't care about the amount of ice! I care about how long it stays ice. :D

    But it rhymes!
Pretty stout, I hope it stays cold! Freaking thing weighs a ton. I'm going to have to put it in the rig empty and then load it. No way I'll be able to lift if fully loaded
