My friend's dog has a tent. He got it for like a dollar when the local Sports Authority went out of business. He bought something else, and made a joke about the "pup" tent.

    BRUH.

You just need a small DIY climbing wall behind that couch, and you'd have a killer basement/room.

LOL that wall has a window on it. The corner behind where I took the picture has my ice axe and other stuff, as well as some canvas prints of my favorite trip pics.

I didn't have the heart to take it down yet. I have a Colorado Trail map just like it (Blackwoods Press) that I need to put up.

One of my favorite additions. Piling them in a corner against the wall just didn't do them justice.

    It's a disaster. I'm the organized one.

The CT map is above my monitors in my office right now. I use it as inspiration and for planning when I'm doing the mapping and research for that trip. When I'm done with it, it will get put up in the gear room.

The couch is there purely so you can sit down and admire your collection, right? Hahaha.

I got a whopping $170 this year... and am struggling to think of anything I need at this point. I'll probably just buy up a bunch of Mountain Man meals or something.

I have a smaller folding table that I put in front of the futon so I can sit there and sort out the small gear from a packing list, repair small things, make gear prototypes, etc. It folds out into a bed when my wife puts me in the doghouse, too.
I'll admit, it's also to revel in the collection

Just need to put a mini fridge full of beer at one end, so you don't even have to get up to get refills as you do repairs and kit out.

    Well another one arrived.
The 27 series gets much hotter in regards to the windscreen and kettle. With the 25 I can easily use the kettle handle and even remove the windscreen with bare hands. For the 27 no way!

I started using a USB pluggable mini-fan and a rechargeable power pack for sleeping while camping. It helps tremendously. It helps with keeping air moving inside the tent and provides a bit of "white noise".
