If I got that organized, it would only last a few weeks, if that. Is this a good place for pics of your garage? IMG_0187.jpg

Whats a good trail for a quick overnight backpacking trip in Joshua tree? I was looking at maybe just doing Boy Scout trail hiking about 2 miles in on Friday night.

Just back from California and the Royal Robbins memorial. This was the pic of me they put on the entrance. Styles and techniques have changed some since 1977.KR Alpine belay.jpg

Just a bunch of old crap
Get a permit and hike in to Garnet Lake near Mammoth. It's a half day hike in, and you could set up basecamp and fish there the same day and also go over to Thousand Island Lake. I caught quite a few nice 14+ inch brookies out of Garnet on just spinners. Great camp spot on the southeast shore just across from the little island over there.

It's a story. I climbed with Fred starting in the mid-70's. Film was finished by Dave O'Leske from up the road in Ridgeway. His previous ski film Spirit of Snow is one of my faves

My wife and I did that several years ago. Epic.
First day headed over Kearsarge Pass.

    Evening before Forrester Pass

From Forrester looking south into the Kern River Basin. We did a side day trip into the lake south America area to the southwest. I don't recall seeing another soul that day until we returned to camp on the JMT at whatever that rangers station is.
