    Hahahaha

That happens alot around here I bet. I appreciate the info for sure, I like the alucab and kinsmen awnings but they are about 1500 bucks so this hopefully will be a good option

The new Kinsmen did pique my interest. Especially when the dude was hanging from one of the arms of the canopy!

That was exactly why I liked it as well hahaha! I lost my first awning to ignorance and the wind. I don't want to break another more expensive one for sure lol

Pa’Lante packs had a spring cleaning sale the other day, and I was able to snag a fancy new bag. This will prob be my go to for short 3-4 day hikes with the Bare Boxer bear canister. Should also fit a BV450 too. My first bag without a hipbelt. Will be interesting.

I'm not an ultralight guy, so I've usually got my Skeletool CX and either the ZT0562 or 0180, depending on how wet I anticipate things getting.

Honestly, hit up an REI garage sale and find one that was returned and hasn't really been used. I've seen Thermarests go for $20. I got my Expad duo there for 65% off and it looked like it hadn't even been used.

The REI insulated flash pad is not bad especially if your camping in cooler weather. Tad loud but only if your the type that tosses and turns all night.

depends on the night. air mattresses tend to make me toss and turn more than a foam. so maybe ill look at a foam. i know it wont pack down as much but thats not a huge issue at this point

Ive have seen that pad break more times than any pad ever. I always recommend a foam pad if weight/storage space isnt an issue.

When I'm solo in the rig I just use 2 Thermarest closed cell pads. Stacked they are more then comfy for car camping and you can get them for 12 bucks or so. When the wife comes along I have a piece of 4" memory foam cut to fit the back of my rig. It's great because it keeps her happy but it's huge. lol

I scored one a few weeks ago too, after waiting forever for the V2 to get in stock. I have the Zpacks Nero as well, and I quickly got comfortable with not using a hip belt as my base weight dropped and I dont have to do big food or water hauls. Great weekend packs for sure.

A good inflatable pad beats foam hands down. They are like sleeping on a mattress. I've got a few klymit static v inflatable pads. Super comfy and durable. Also they are relatively cheap. I got mine at Sierra trading Post for like $40 each ( plus what my wife gets off since she works for parent company TJX).

Outside in a ground tent or hammock. My 5yo daughter loves them too. Granted kids sleep anywhere, but the last trip I took with her was in October and it was down in the 20s at night. They insulated well, very comfy, and didn't feel any of the rocks under the tent.

Maybe try some of the chambered inflatable pads like the static v or more expensive ones. Granted on only ~150# but even on my side there was still adequate support where I never touched the ground.

Awesome man! I remember you had posted a Lighterpack a couple months ago. Link again for your weekend trip loadout? Heres mine for a 3-4 day: https://lighterpack.com/r/dqyimt

How do you like your EE Torrid APEX Jacket? Thought about getting one of those. I know they run a bit large, right? How cold have you taken it down to?
