They're all similar designs but Helinox is much more expensive.
I have seen a few chairs with bigger pads for sandy situations.
Onetigris gear is pretty good overall. On YouTube The Outdoor Gear Reveiw is a great resource for all sorts of gear. He's caused my wallet to be lighter on many occasions.

I can’t believe te amount of abuse those old CUVVs could take with no noticeable damage when we turned them back in.

The military sleep system is another piece of gear that’s nearly indestructible. Completely comfortable down to zero or a little below.

Am I crazy to think this might be "leveraging existing resources"?

I have a 4.0 Ah 40 V MAX battery (I rented a house for a while, bought a $275 lawnmower that ran for 30 minutes at a time off the battery to mow the lawn) because I knew I could lose the mower-body and keep the $150 battery for later. This 300 W power station uses that battery, currently on "clearance" at Lowes for $70.

Does this seem too minor/small/useless even to leverage $70 more to use the good $150 battery?

Hey everyone. I’ll be doing some camping this summer and need to get some good gear. I don’t want to get the cheapest stuff but also don’t want to spend more than I need to. I’ll be camping in Colorado and Utah so some cold and hot camping will be in the mix.

I’ve started looking at tents and May head down to REI to look at some. One tent has piqued my interest and that’s a Kodiak Flex Bow VX. Anyone have this tent? Is it worth the money, $350ish.

Myself and Crom both own 10x10 VX tents. They are awesome tents. How many people will be using it? I did meet a guy camping in Saline Valley using the small Kodiak tent and it was pretty cool. Helpful hint with these types of tents is to bring lag bolts and a powered driver of some sort to get the bolts into the earth.

Remind me of the time, Zion National Park, that I could not get a stake in the tentsite ground.

Thanks; it will be me. I did read that the smaller one is too short to stand up in which I need to check out.

Good note on the stakes. I’ll plan to get some and I always have my impact wrench with me.

The smallest Springbar tent, Outfitter, 7'x9', is 6'2" I think.
I walk around and reach up to touch the top.

    Question:
    Nemo Shower.
How high do you pressurize it?
If the container is on the floor and I raise the sprayer over my head it is drastically reduced. Not much pressure at all.
Nemo CS thought it might be defective valve.

We get great pressure out of ours and it’s super old and abused. I’d keep pumping it up until you have a reasonable pressure. If it breaks just getting usable pressure it’s defective and hopefully they’ll get you a new one.

I couldn’t bring myself to spend the money on a new Kodiak tent. I was ready to order a NF Wawona 4 and then happened upon a FB deal on a REI Basecamp 4 tent and an Exped 10 MW mat. Pretty excited!

I got out for my first trip this past weekend to the Great Sand Dunes. It was a long drive for one night but overall it was worth it.

The used tent (REI Base Camp 4) and Exped MW mat were excellent. REI doesn’t make the footprint for the previous generation tent anymore :( I bought a tarp for a foot print but it was far too big. I also bought an Exped 25/45 sleeping bag and I was comfortable all night with the temp down to 30.

Tyvek and some press in grommets will yield excellent footprints for a tent if you can’t buy one. I’ve made several in the past and they’ve worked really well.
