    I agree, 151.625 is a repeater frequency. You shouldn't be using that unless you have a license and a call sign.
    146.460 is for simplex (CB-like) operation, and you don't need to have a license .
    Hint : do the right thing.

    go get your fucking licenses. its not that hard, the ham cram is designed to be easy. a pretty high pass rate. to those that haven't yet.

    look into the ham cram. there is one in Stockton once a month it was the closest i found around sac. also PC dose one every yr. not sure when. there was others but info was not easy to find. the cram is the way to go. no need to study all that legal mombo jumbo. the cram is an all day thing though. long boring day.

    This frequency is in the 2m band and still requires a license to transmit.

    Those with ham radio and no license, please understand that there is no frequency on that radio that doesn't require a license and or breaking some rules of some kind.

    Citrus Heights Ham-Cram Sessions
    Posted January 5, 2017

    Section member Joe Cardoza, KA6ROM, announces that his Citrus Heights VE Team will conduct their amateur radio Ham-Cram Technician License training and examinations on the fourth Saturday (except third Saturday in January) every other month at starting at 8:45 am at the LDS Church, at 7950 Hazel Ave, Orangevale, CA. This is the intersection of Hazel and Cherry Ave.

    The Ham-Cram and Exam dates for 2017 are:
    • January 21st,
    • March 25th,
    • May 27th,
    • July 22nd,
    • September 23rd, and
    • November 25th.

    Reading that thread I posted made me paranoid. Would feel much better being legal. Plus, you can take advantage of the repeaters in the area.
