hey guys my name is nick and i am from orlando.i have been a part of fl ttora for a few years now and i thought i would join tacoma world as well.also there is not as many followers on that web site as this one,any way i have posted that i wanter to go camping in ocala for a few weeks now and only have one or two replys.so here is the time date and place i would like to meet up if you can.(i know i am new here but i have been part of the offroad world for a long time.)here the info........ok i am setting the date.february 26th(sat) and 27th(sun).i am going to be at big scrub camp ground(127th &se 241st ave) in ocala around 10am.we can camp there(12.00 a nite) or do what i usually do and trail ride untill we find a good place to camp(no fee is necessary).if you google earth that area you can see where it is.also there is a rock quarry not to far from big scrub that i hope is still open its a lot of fun.
i am going to go camping with a few friends.hope that all my ttora/tacoma world friends come to go riding atleast on sunday.i will move the time and location if i need to meet up with somebody.let me know guys. here is a pic of my taco(a few things have changed on the truck its an old pic)[IMG]

Ocala's a lot of fun. not very technical as far as offroading goes, but a great time never the less. another member and myself went a few months ago. and since then, i think another small group went out there. i don't know if i can make it for that weekend, but i'll let you know.

in case you need one, here's a great map http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5192654.pdf

I wish I could, but that will be the only weekend I'm not scheduled to be traveling and I'll need it to get ready because I close on my new house on march 4th.

I may end up going out and meeting up with you all.
If so I'll be there Friday-Sunday morning. I got a real nice primitive camp spot on farles lake?(some boat-able lake) not too far from big scrub, I would roll into big scrub to meet up.

From intersection of SR 40 and SR 19, go west on SR 40 approximately 8 miles, turn south on FR 588, go south approximately 8 miles to FR 573 (campground is on right). You also can access FR 573 from SR 19 or FR 588 from SR 42.you can google big scub as well.if you need any more help pm me or call at 407-925-3487.we can camp any were we want to but i was using bigg scrub as a meeting place and if we want to we could camp there.any suggestion on where to camp is fine with me.

Colin, thanks for the map. On my way back from the Keys this weekend I was thinking about looking for a map. Rode through the Forest many times but never stopped anywhere. There are plenty of places to check out.
