I spend more time making my bloody mary's than I do making food...
Does that mean that I have a problem?

    Probably...

I'm concerned the fire restrictions will still be in place and I won't be able to cook over a fire. I don't want to bring by bigass Coleman. Might pick up a little single burner.

Well they might be like it was at bowman over Labor day, place was packed and fires all over the place. Nobody came in to shut it down.

You know me, I'll have my roof packed with wood if it safe to.

That's why I'd like to find a spot away from Rock Creek Road. We'd be too exposed to rangers rollin' by.

This was place that I found last year when I was there. It's pretty hard to miss since there's just a random fire pit out in the open next to a tree. It's also a decent distance away from the road. Only downside is that there isn't a ton of shade except for that one tree.

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/37°04'52.3"N+119°11'48.6"W

This is where I camped last year. It's pretty nice since it's shaded throughout most of the day, but it's on the road. Personally, I wouldn't camp there again. I still have PTSD from the bear I encountered there. :anonymous:

Also on a side note, I'll let you know if I can join, but I wouldn't be able to leave until probably 5PM on Friday after I get home from my class.
