I have a camshaft code for bank 2 in my 2017 Tacoma, is it normal for just the senor to go out? Or is there another problem. It sat for about 2-3 weeks while out of town and it has it now and it doesn’t clear in my code reader

Rodent chew through some wiring? Might explain why the code instantly returns.
