I got a 2019 double cab and there is a rattle in my front driver side door that I can’t locate. Only when I go over bumps and bad roads. Seems to be in the front upper part of the door. I removed the door panel and taped all the wires to the door and put some foam behind the door handle but it’s still there. When I take the panel off and drive it with the door bare it goes away. Tried hitting and shaking the panel by itself with no luck. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Pop the panel off and make sure the window regulator is snug and check wiring connectors to make sure they aren't hitting metal

Mine was rattling from tweeter area.

I swapped them out for the Subaru tweeters and it stopped for a few weeks but returned.

I will try to locate the source of the rattle one day... for now I just turn the radio up.

You might try slipping a thin piece of rubber between door cover and metal (could be plastic door panel moulding tapping the metal).

Also, check your door moulding fasteners, if flat metal squeeze spring types try expanding and put a dab of plasti-dip on the areas of spring that contacts metal.

If plastic try replacing with larger ones.

Final thought, if all else fails, you can try to squirt some spray expanding insulation foam in there, go easy on stuff since it will expand a good bit. That will definitely stop anything moving and rattling ever again in that space.

I had the same issue with my ‘17. The dealer finally fixed it and it was the bearings (or something similar) in the seatbelt mechanism. This was fixed a while back so I don’t remember exactly how they fixed it but I think they put some type of foam and it solved the issue.

    Good luck!

I'd let the dealer figure it out.

I do remember someone having a problem and it was the A pillar. Could it be there and when you take the door panel off it's affecting that?

My rattle was the a passenger rear window rubber guide that came off. @Rjwz28 Does your window make the same rattle when you shut the door?

Is it the small plastic panel behind the inside door handle? Push on it when it's buzzing. Felt tape will do the trick if that's the culprit.

Mine is rattling when loud base hits the door speaker, and I've pinpointed it to the window switch module. The rattle goes away when I press against it. Hopefully, the mechanics at the dealership have a fix for this... :fingerscrossed:

I had the dealership “fix” it by replacing some speaker thingy in the dash. It’s still there. Going back Thursday to try again.

Thanks everyone for all your comments and suggestions.

I’ll post the results when it is corrected. When and if it’s corrected.....
