I'll post a photo the next time the rims are off, probably not anytime soon. I lubed with anti seize once the rims were off.

Power drill with stepped drill bit (as they are available in diameters larger than 1/2") would be the quickest.

Dremel with coarse carbide high-speed cutters like this would work too but take a bit longer. Buy a few packs from Home Depot as they get worn down.

The holes are closing up? Are the lugnuts getting over-torqued?

    We need pics

Thought you said you were running stock everything? Just because aftermarket wheels say they fit doesn't always mean they do

1st post states wheel type, but now knowing he used the correct lugs for the job, I'm left scratching my head. Either the install was so janky they messed up the wheels in the process, or install was so janky, the wheel messed itself up over the course of time, or its just a different wheel spec altogether that somehow got manipulated on. I thought the FN's only came in one size though, so who knows.

What I meant with stock in my post #13 is no special wheel spacers. The tires and rims are only thing not stock.
The link below is what I followed when I first purchased these rims. Yes, again they are made for the Tacoma.
Lugnuts are torqued 75-80 ft-lbs as the manufacturer recommended also.

I think over-time multiple different shops torqued the lugs using impaction equipment probably to different torque specs (which is not recommended per what the manufacturer originally told me) and I suspect they didn't secure the rim on the hub first before running the lugs tight at one point in time. Impossible to pinpoint the root cause but what's done is done.

Don't bother with a battery terminal brush lol. If the burrs are substantial enough to cause issues with wheel fitment, a finger-operated brush won't do anything.

I'm having a hard time understanding how some burrs can lock a wheel onto a hub. I still think it's a center bore fitment issue

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Cut a slit in a dowel, shove some 36 grit sandpaper in and chuck it in a drill. Let it eat.

Get a conical or "acorn" shaped grinding stone for a drill and the hardest part of deburring aluminum could be if the metal clogs up the grinding face of the stone where it's contacting.
