I'm not rich by any means. How I just payed cash for a '19 Camry and a '19 Tacoma was by saving money. We have been 'making payments' to ourselves since 2008. It's been 11 years (2008) since we last purchased a vehicle. When you plan for the future and don't trade in every other year you can buy new vehicles with cash too. We are already making payments to ourselves for future vehicle purchases in the next decade or so even though it's only been a little over a month and a half since we bought the two Toyotas. Keep your vehicles for the long haul and save money. It's that simple.

I bought a new Tacoma just like I have always bought new condoms. Sometimes new is worth the extra dollar.

For the record, I’ve owned all 3 gens and grew up in a Toyota pickup. No wonder why I can’t get along with myself.

They all were great but honestly the 3rd gen is the better truck, which shouldn’t be surprising because it’s the newest, quietest, most economical and powerful.

I see, can't speak for everyone else so I can't really comment on that. Nor did I bad mouth 3rd gen. But I did test drive one before I bought my 15 and simply decided that the 3.5 wasnt as usable as a truck motor as the 4.0.

I like mine too, loved my 2G but I do think this is a better truck. In 20 years time we’ll be stinking up the 5th Gen forums. Hell yeah, get ready 1st genners who will be forced into a 5th ! :D

Let’s face it, nobody really buys a mid size truck and honestly expects it to haul, pull, or act like a “truck”. We buy these trucks because they are smaller, more maneuverable in daily driving, and because well MODS! If you really want something to work and act like a truck, buy a full size, but don’t think this truck is that. I use a f250 for work everyday. It has more torque, hauls more weight, and gets up and goes. Still wouldn’t trade my Tacoma for any full size. I just know it’s place in the world lol.

Ah, so the Tacoma is not a truck? Just messing with ya as I agree with a true pickup needed for hauling, etc. go big.

I can actually believe it. The ram uses coil springs instead of leafs if I’m not mistaken.

It’s that simple. Take the best of the 1st Gen and the best of the second Gen and you have what is the ultimate truck, ever produced, by any being in the known universe. Scientific facts.
