Cool avatar, but I foresee potential issues. It looks like you are hitching to Canada. The Canadian members on this site are, what's the word I'm looking for...total lousers. The cause a lout ouf trouuble. Sometimes, the mods need to step in to avert WW6, or whatever number we're up to now. Just warning you.

It's a nice 5 hour scenic drive through forest and in between Mt Rose Wilderness areas past Hunter Lake (what a joke at least that time of year). Well 8/6 it was doable in 2wd and on 8/27 it was a little wilder. Did it in a stock Taco. I have know idea what it looks like now. If you are interested I can e-mail you a map.

Why/how is that Mountie (sp?) in the photo asleep on the job? More important, why is he asleep standing up?

It is so cold up there that they have to slow their metabolism to survive the winter. That's also why no one ever invades Canada. It would be easy, but it's just not worth it.

4runner owner here lurking around. I'm on t4r.org as well, but TW is more entertaining and active. I will own a Taco at some point in the future though and I used to own one before this site was created. Post some pics already!

I used to own this 99, but it died on black ice in I-15 on the Idaho-Utah border one winter. It remains my favorite body style.

Nice. I've been eyeballing that one. My fiance and I really like the Bishop Creek Area. we went up to Bristlecone and come back down Silver Creek. That was a hoot. 1st low downhill for quite a while. Can you ID my sig pic? Hint: near Mammoth :D

Ignore those desert-running mongrels. You'll find some nice expedition setups on the site, too. Check out boxrocket's rig.
