Yes, those will fit behind the seats. I'd have to model them to see what size box they'd need.

I just modeled the subs and they model just like I remember. They don't look good in a sealed enclosure unfortunately. Even in a larger sealed enclosure the bottom end just isn't really there.

With a single ported box it looks a bit better but the enclosure needs to be quite large. 2.5cubic feet tuned to 30-32hz is ideal and the bottom end frequency response looks decent. Below is the graph. Again, it's not bad....it's just a big ass box for a single 12. Kinda defeats the purpose of the space saving sub ya know?

So my opinion is that they are VERY nice for the "thin" aspect but they aren't very good as subs. I too got the Parts Express catalog in the mail this week and was thinking about giving these another look too. However, I just don't think they are great as subs. They could make some killer midbass (up to a point) but as subs, eh....I'd think twice.

I'd urge you to get a normal enclosure style for back there and use a more traditional subwoofer. If I recall correctly, you can get about 6" of depth back there. Something like the Dayton HO 10 (dual voice coil) would meet both needs. Under 5.5" deep and has some GREAT low end! Plus, it's ported box is right at 1 cubic foot. So although the sub is deeper it requires a box that's less than half the size! Check out the curve on this bad boy! Also, it will handle about 500 watts without running out of xmax (cone movement/throw) all the way down to 26hz. :D

i agree the Dayton HO 10 is not a bad sub at all for general applications and will give a pretty solid response. there is no need to spend 2-3x the money for some of the "other" big name brands

Is there a pre fab made box I can buy for these? Don't really have the time to build one.

Yeah they should fit in most of the pre-fab 10" boxes. Just make sure it's depth fits what is available for the box. Two of those in a double cab would rip your face off.

This one is under $100. Just fill a little airspace by gluing in a small block of wood or something since the enclosure is 0.75 and the sub wants .55 cubic feet. A little extra space isn't a bad thing though. How the hell they make that for that cheap I have no idea. And I'm sure there are others. It's just the first one I found googling.
