Can anybody tell me what these wire connectors are for?

New to me truck. Has towing package. These two wire connectors are hanging out of the top of the bed cover at the back on the left side of the truck. Anybody who knows the wiring diagram tell me what they’re for and why they might be hanging out?

Looks aftermarket. You buy the truck used? Maybe canopy lighting?

 

Yeah, second owner, bought from dealer though.

 

Yeah looks like wiring for a shell. I have a Snugtop shell and have two very similar connections in that exact spot that powers a USB port and the third brake light.

 

Pull the tail light off or look at the trailer plug and I can guarantee you’ll find those wires connected to those plugs. For a shell wired for the 3rd brake light and the other for interior dome light
