Can Anyone Balance Tiress Correctly or Even Do Roadforce On All Terrain Tires?

    I really have no idea....but they do it..that and turn the rotors while on the truck. Like I said its the only shop that does it within atleast 150 miles from me.

    IT may have to do with your wheels. The shops may not be using the correct adapter when balancing your tires which would give them a false reading when doing it.

    The Haweka adapter is only for the aluminum Toyota wheels on first gens and early Tundras. It has no use for aftermarket wheels. I have an info sheet on it at home, so I can 't post it right now.

    Anyway, as other s have said, it still comes down to three variables: the skill of the person balancing the wheel, using a correctly calibrated dynamic (or road force) balancing machine, and the tire quality. Good luck, man. This can be so frustrating.

    it's finally done! I got them road forced today at a Glotfelty Tire Center and they did a great job. No more vibes and the truck rides so much better. They even did the chalk line test on my tires to get the correct psi. They were super professional and the guy even took me into the shop to show me how the road force machine was working and how he would do it all which was cool. Plus it only costed 60 bucks for the road force. Super cheap for what i have seen it being on here.

    i recommend Glotfelty Tire Center to anyone in the morgantown area

    don't assume anthing. my toyota dealer had no idea what a haweka adapter was. they had to order one after i bitched about them not balancing my tires worth a shit. ..i took it to them 3 times. 3 times they balanced it without using the finger adapter.

    interestingly enough, the vibration issue was a result of piss poor tires. 2 of them were out of round. never will i purchase anything with the word "NITTO" on it again.

    maybe you got lucky but nearly every maxxis and pegasus i've ever balanced (hundreds) were at least moderately out of round. it's actually a very consistent trait, the cheaper the truck tire, the more likely they were to be out of round when balancing.

    I have the same problem with vibes, got new 285/75/16 BFG ATs and helo wheels and my truck shakes, got them road force balanced at discount tire and it didnt help at all. What should i do?

    Generally, a vib in the seats and floor boards indicates an issue with the rear wheel/tire combo. Since your feeling the vib in the steering wheel you might try moving the rear wheels to the front to see what changes. You'll know if the vib changes that it is something with those two front wheels you moved to the back. If nothing changes, if you still have the identical vib, it is probably not caused by a wheel/tire.

    How did they "true" your tires, I have duratracs too and I believe they are out of round.

    They put them on a machine and shave them down until they are round...i have had to do it twice since buying them....lose a little tread but rides like a camry.

    I have worked in tire shops, Ant there are times if a tire wont balance out or calls for excessive amounts of weight that you need to bust the bead and spin the tire on the rim and try again. when i had my duratrac's mounted the tech put multiple weights inside and out and they were not even the right ones for my wheels! i took it to another Goodyear store to have it fixed and the manager said WTF was that tech thinking. They took care of me there, and i have not had a problem with vibrations.
