Can anyone get me my window sticker?

Window sticker did not come with my truck for some reason. If I give you my VIN, can you pull it and email it to me. PM me if you don't mind...Thanks.

 

Wtf!? Go back to the dealer! 30,000 + $ and they cant provide you with a window stick.

I have seen in the past there are nice people on this site that can get your sticker. If no such luck I will get it it at my 5000 mile service, but that is a ways off and the dealer is out of my way. I never drive up that way and it is like 20 miles, not worth it for a sticker.

 

20 miles is not shit! I drive that going to get gas and some pot! Not sure how remote it is where you live but 20miles is not shit here. Just gives me a reason to be out of the house.

 

Better go back and get that sticker! (is it in your glove box?) I remember 15 years ago a dealer didn't give us the sticker, gave us a brochure saying "all the information on the car is in here." Turns out they swapped out the same vehicle for one without ABS. Bastards!

 

Haha, 20 miles is shit when you work 60 hours a week in the opposite direction, Chief of a fire dept in your "spare time", have a wife and kids and a mini farm to take of.

 

In NY it's illegal for the dealer to remove the windows sticker. It's actually suppose to be removed by the customer. However it's never enforced and rarely does anyone abide by it. I've seen a bunch get ripped apart before delivery by people rolling the windows down. Usually lot kids but even a truck driver could do it by putting the window down to see loading and unloading the trailer. Guessing those ones usually get thrown out by detail. Guessing that's what happened to yours unless it's in your owners manual. Usually they fold them up and stick it in your booklet

 

I looked everywhere, no luck. For all I know I could have lost it. I don't ever remember seeing it though after I brought the truck home. Nothing shady, dealer is family, just want one to keep with my paperwork.

 

My dealer screwed up everything from my deposit to the financing but I did get my window sticker. I would just call them and make sure they still have it and see if they could at least mail it to you. There's no way they'll still have it once you return for your 5000 mile service.

 

Dealer put mine in the manual folder in the glove box.

Just so you know; The Monroney sticker is required to be affixed to the side window or windshield of every new car sold in the United States and can only be removed by the consumer (Chapter 28, Sections 1231-1233, Title 15 of the United States Code). A fine of up to US$1,000 per vehicle for each offense is authorized if the sticker is missing, and other fees and penalties are authorized if the sticker is altered illegally (including imprisonment).

 

It can be re printed.

 

I wish it was 20 miles to the nearest dealership from my place.

Seeing how your family is the dealership. Have them put it in a Happy Easter card and mail it to you.

 

20 miles is not worth it to you, but you want someone else to get you the sticker?

Why won't you simply ask the dealer to mail it to you?... instead of others doing it for you.

 

I'm trying to stay on their good side for when I hit a pot hole and need to make a warranty claim.

 

I highly doubt you'd be considered an asshole for requesting that they mail it to you.

BTW, hitting a pothole and causing suspesion damage is not covered under warranty by Toyota.

EDIT** Toyota will not pay for damage cause by you and/or the town or city's poor road maintenance.
