Yes sir that's it or another approach if the wire is long enough buy a full size 15 or 20 and move it to the right hand side and you can leave the old one I there were it's at as merely a filler

Also you will need to extend the white wire to down with the rest of you going to go without the GFCI .....

Just a quick question for reference did the old GFCI trip constantly or just wear out

Its minor maintenance that a home owner should learn to do.

I agree. In fact I wired my home and have safely switched out service panels etc. That said, not the best place to start learning on a cranky old panel.

Fair enuff, but my father in law is going through something right now and doesn't have the finances to be able to afford professional services. Gotta do what I have to do. Doesn't mean we cant learn safely.

Lowes or home depot usually have replacement brand breakers in stock for the older panels.

This ones REALLY old and outdated. Lowes and Home Depot didnt have them. I found some sites to special order them but I sent them to my FOI and havent heard back yet. I live an hour away from him so I don't see that much.

Honestly not sure. Last time I spoke with him he was considering paying $200 for the original. House is up for sale now so I have no clue boss.
