I have a couple 6 ton Pro-Lift double locking stands that I picked up on Amazon that I really like. Having the safety of an extra lock is nice for peace of mind, especially if you're going to leave the truck on them for a while. I also have some Duralast stands from Autozone (6 ton), but they don't lock very well so I just use them for axles, since I can leave them at the lowest setting (perfect height for a stock-ish land cruiser). For the floor jack, I have an $80 duralast that is fine for occasional stuff, but I wish I would have spent more in this area (I'd give it to you if you were local, haha). A couple good stands and a mid-range floor jack would probably be perfect for what you're doing.

I would highly recommend a floor jack over a bottle jack for routine maintenance work.

The highest lifting one you can find.... aluminum construction would be nice.

Mine is a harbor freight one that I've had almost 20 years. It's steel and a bit heavy, it works

If you don't need to take it with you, it will make your lifting chores so much easier and more stable and safer.... you'll be able to lift the whole front up and place jack stands, then the rear instead of each corner.

I see what you mean. Thank you. Currently living in an apartment setup so storage is a bit of an issue for a floor jack. I may end up getting a floor jack and also a bottle jack to keep on board to replace the useless factory issued one.

Same here. One of the Larin jacks. At the time, I was thrilled with the twist handle for the valve. Now, I just want it to somehow die so that I can justify one of the Daytonas. That rapid pump feature is killer, esp when dealing with the Taco.

I love these things. I have one mounted to my trailer. Great for tire rotations. For bearings and brakes I use these plus redundant stands. And if I'm putting a part of my body under the truck that is a requirement of life to keep intact, then I use ramps. :D
