Can anyone recommend a good source for used/ JDM 3.4L bay area?????

Looking for either a lower millage (200k or less) or JDM engine to swap into my 2002 Taco. By chance anyone in the Bay Area have experience with or can recommend a reputable source for said engine?

Give either JDM Engine Bay or North West JDM Motors a call. JDM Engine Bay was willing to let me use a bore scope the engine prior to purchase, which was a huge plus for me.

Keep in mind, both places have a limited stock and sell out fast. Best bet is call in advance and see what their current ETAs are.

 

Thanks for the replies! I called JDM engine bay out of san leandro and am hopefully heading over there this week to look at the engines. Said they have a few in stock. They also mentioned they "bench test" the engines and have compression numbers for said engines.

 

There used to be a place on the east coast that sold rebuilds. Reasonable prices.

 

Not JDM but I've bought a 3vze and a 5vzfe from ToyAuto Mart in Rancho Cordova. Both with under 150K miles and very reasonably priced.
