can anyone tell me by vin # if my 2007 has towing package?

Pink on mine and don't have factory tow package.

 

It has nothing to do with tow packages but is consistently listed as a way to tell if a truck has a tow package.

 

my alternator has Toyota 27060- OPO30 on the tag, my truck also has the "pink" base on the fan/fan clutch assembly. I see a coil on the front of the actual radiator but looks to me like it is a coil perhaps for the A/C system. my oil filter does not have the "extension" between the base of the filter and the "cupped" recess that the filter threads into. so some of the indicators you guys have reference seem to be in place, but not all. so i'm guessing my 2nd gen did not come with the towing package.

 

Yeah probably not. But you can add everything yourself. Just find a truck with the tow package at a nearby junkyard

 

A quick google search of that part number comes up with a 100 amp alternator. Like I mentioned previous, the pink fan clutch does not necessarily indicate a tow package. Here is a pick of the trans cooler. All indicators point to you not having the tow package.
