Can door panels from 2001+ be installed on 96-00 Tacomas?

I think the title asks the question well. Will the 2001 interior door panels swap into a 1996-2000 model interior?

I may find myself needing to upgrade an early first-gen Tacoma to power windows so I can roll the window up/down for my dog who rides with me daily.

 

Is the dash the same? I know the gauges and center console is different, but is the actual dash different too, cuz that will effect the contour of the front edge of the door panels...

 

Seems like you can swap newer panels into the older first gens based on these threads.

Yes. Anything from 96-04 is the same.

 

only difference may be the color. I believe the 01-04 only had the oak/tan or grey interior and the 99 had a darker grey/blue kind of color option.

on another note you could always find a 95-00 panel that has the power window cut-outs
