I have seen the always on mod but wondering if anyone has found a way to wire them to their high beams. This way I can run those and my grill bar with the regular high beam switch?

There is a mod posted on wiring the fog lights to work with parking lights, regular headlights and high beams. I did it to me 05 and have had no problems. I think it was posted in technical chat. I'll see if I can find the link.....

where you at in RI? I used to live up there.....can't say that I miss it...especially with the winter you guys are having.

I have read those but I am looking to have them come on/off with my high beam switch.

Last time I drove in heavy fog, the highbeams seemed to make visibility a lot worse.

Yes, you can make them only come on when your high beams are on. Read the anytime mod and just modify it to suit your needs. The anytime mod uses the parking light power wire as the 'trigger' for the relay. Your parking lights are always on when your lights are on so it's essentially an anytime fog light mod. Swap out the parking light wire for your high beam wire and there you have it, you're all set. A test light will tell you which wire is hot when your high beams are on, just tap that and run it to the fog light relay.

All that being said, it's completely and utterly pointless to have your fog lights ONLY come on when you have your high beams on. You typically don't want your high beams on in fog or heavy precipitation and you don't want your fog lights on when your high beams are on. Fog lights are short throw and light the road up directly in front of the vehicle, high beams are for distance. By lighting up the road just in front of you, your eyes focus on that and it makes your distance vision worse. You're better off cutting off the fogs when you want distance.

And that's why you don't drive with the high beams on in fog.

OP I know there is a "anytime fog" thread but I'm not sure that is what you are looking for. I don't have mine wired that way but my LED bar is wired into the high beam circuit so when I flip my high beams on the LED bar comes on rendering the Fogs useless. Since mine is a combo flood / spot it floods the outside and spots down the road. I can just turn the bar off so the high beams come on by themselves also.

Hope you find what you are looking for. I understand the rational.

*EDIT* Never mind, Pugga answered it.

I understand the purpose of "fog" lights but I replaced my bulbs with brighter LEDs and have my Aux LED floods wired to fogs as well. Want to be able to activate them with high beam LEDs when on dark road, the beach, etc... During heavy snow, fog, etc... I only run the lows.

So why not just do any of the "anytime fog light mods" so you have full control over when the foglights are on.

Check the link in my sig.

This or add 1 more switch with wiring...IMO that would be a more logical thing to do...
