If I trusted him then yeah I would let him. As others have said, it's a truck. I know if I was borrowing a good friend's truck, I would treat it like my own.

I know someone who replaced their truck for a Subaru. They actually were able to do a lot with that Subaru, even more so after they got a trailer. They did eventually get another beater truck though.

To the OP, does your friend HAVE to do it that weekend? If not maybe you can try to coordinate another day/time that would work for both of you?

I would say that if you all can't find a day/time that works for both of you, then just let them get a rental if they need to haul the stuff that weekend you're busy. But it sounds like you'd okay or leaning towards letting them borrow your truck.

If he’s anything like my friends, he probably gets excited when someone in the group gets something new because then you get to play with it. We all race motocross though so we get super excited when one of us gets the latest bike. Side note....after riding my buddy’s brand new KTM 350, I kinda want to ditch my CRF for it.

Just say you're busy doing anything. Or actually be busy doing anything. Easy. Is he really going to come check if it's true?

Come fellow TW's. A good friend needs to borrow a tool, in this case your Tacoma. Let them or you really are not that good of a friend - in my opinion. You can replace a truck or any "object," there is nor replacing a good friend.

You know the funny thing is that OP said that his friend used to have a Taco that was just traded in (DCOR?). So maybe he's on this forum and looking at this thread too...

I borrow and lend, yes. Found the guy who doesn’t trust his friends or places materialistic things over helping a friend out.

Will this friend let you break-in the back seat of his Subaru? o_O

I've never even let a G/F drive my truck. LOL Mechanics get to move it when I drop it off, but that's it.

Oh hell no.... your truck only has 4400 miles.

My truck has 65k and 9 years old, and I would still say hell no.
