So basically about a week ago I did a drain and fill while replacing the filter as well thinking that’ll completely fix my shutter issue but it’s still there. Less rigorous but it’s there. I think a full drain will probably be better and I was wondering if the oil I just put is recyclable as it’s only been in for a week? Like can I still use it? Haha it was pretty pricey so I’m always interested in saving a buck or two. Honestly my last resort is to just use some instant shudder as there’s a lot of mixed opinions about it on here.

Nah dude. There is no way to keep contamination out of oil once you drain it, and you’ll just introduce all that crap into your transmission. A new transmission is a bit more expensive than new fluid.

If the shutter lessened having done a drain and fill which I believe is maybe a third or less of the total fluid, a complete DIY flush would be worth it in my opinion. Easy to do, done it myself, I know it’s not cheap but nothing done right is, relatively speaking that is, best of luck. Dig through the forum, there’s a few step by step right ups on a complete flush.

    None... yet.
I get where you are coming from but, as noted above, just change it...

I wouldn’t, your new fluid is mixed with the old. You have to do about 3 drain and fills to get all the “old” out.

When you drain the fluid from the pan, you don’t get all of it out. There is still A LOT left in the converter and cooler lines (if you have them)
