I just bought my first Toyota Tacoma from a (not a Toyota) dealership 1 owner vehicle.
Can I find out what my 2017 3rd gen has by the VIN?

    Thank you CraigF.

I signed my Tacoma up on the Toyota Website.
I was able to get a profile of the vehicle using the VIN. very helpful information. I am trying to get specific information on the powered side view mirrors and whether there are other features. The driver's side mirror has chunk missing on the mounting arm and I can't tell if I have a 7 pin 8 pin heated or not heated. The mirror does not have the lighted turn signal, but I can not tell if the mirror is heated. Other tips are welcome.

If the mirror is heated, you should have a button in your cab under the radio controls. It would look like the photo in this post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-is-this-button-for.508158/

If you don't have a mirror heater button, chances are high that you have a 7-pin non-heated mirror and connector.

3rd Gen Tacos definitely have a heated mirror option from the factory. My truck has one, and I've seen more than a few others that do as well.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It will only tell you what the truck left the dealer with

Anything done afterwards will not showup.

Factory floor, technically. The biggest add-ons usually happen at the port. :cookiemonster::cookiemonster:

(Heated mirrors would be a factory package)

I will always give the dealer the chance to add weird things then at least provide a invoice.

Just had a friend add a hitch at the dealer for an extra $1200.00 A $150.00 hitch.

I am a Toyota Tacoma newbie, and not the first time I have bought from a dealership -- but I ain't afraid to ask dumb questions either . . .
Thanks for the info and the colorful language . . .

Scrovak. Great to know. Again, very helpful.
Thanks again. YES. I see that button near my interior environment controls, and now I can more confidently look for OEM mirrors.
