Im looking to get some new wheels and tires. Im hopefully gonna go with 32.5x11.5x15 on procomp steel street locks. I have an 03 prerunner and have hear that you cant fit 15" wheels due to the calipers rubbing the wheels. Is this true?? or will i be able to run this setup?

for the spokes to get in the way they would have to go backwards (in) torwards the truck, because the caliper sits behind the plane where the studs are

edit: derp, i didnt realize so any 15s rubbed

    This.

The way some are manufactured, there is a lip on the backside that will rub the calipers unless there are wheel spacers. I bought a wheel and tested it out on Pyroskier's truck specifically to check this issue out. :D

You can see the black mark where it rubbed

yea just to add to it. the pro comp steelys, i bought 15's for my truck, brought em home, the rubbed the caliper, so i took em back, and grabbed the 16's. same backspcing snd all. and mine are d windows. so, unfortunately, tires are much cheaper on a 15, but our trucks dont fit too many of them so idk.

I have a set of Pro Comp series 98 that are 15" rims with I believe 4" BS. I bought them from a guy that had them on an earlier 4 runner. I test fit them before purchase and they fit. There is not a lot of extra place between the wheel and caliper, but they fit with no spacers and no rubbing.
It sounds like I was a lucky one and a lot of other people have not had the same luck. You could always buy the wheels from someplace with a good return policy and if they don't fit just return them!
I am just happy that I can now buy the cheaper 15" tires for my truck!

was it the spokes that were rubbing? if so would a wheel spacer fix this?

As long as you find one without the 'lip' on the back you're good to go. The Wheeler's Offroad ones mentioned earlier do fit. All others, you can use a 1/4" (or more) wheel spacer and then they'll be fine.

15" wheels mean 15" in outer dia....which is constant you are correct. But not all wheels have the same inner dia. Therefore some 15" wheels may actually rub....I would fit them first to make sure.
