Seriously... Powder coat is not as tough as it's cracked up to be. When it chips or scratches to metal, it's over, that shit will flake off.

Just do light coats. Don't try to cover in one coat. Fog it on. You've only not spay painted anything until the first time you've spray painted something.

You said you're an elk Hunter.

Would you pass up a Caribou hunt in BC because you've never hunted Caribou before?

Cool, I like that logic. you really don't think it'll look shitty spray painted instead of done professionally?

Do my bumpers look like shit?

And by the way... The pic of the front bumper, with it on jack stands... That's when I was converting my truck from 2wd to 4wd... I had never done that before.

My roof top tent rack is the first thing I ever welded in my life... Had a borrowed piece of shit Harbor freight flux welder and no one to tell my how I was fucking up... But I just did that shit.

When you really start getting in to the nuts and bolts, it's when you really start getting to the place you can use your rig to the fullest.

And there's nothing like completing a project and everything works... With only a couple extra nuts and bolts (kidding)

And it's a helluva lot cheaper than paying someone else to do it.

hmmm, i did not know its not very tough, i have only had a few things powdercoated on mine
was thinking about doing the front skid and rear axle housing powdercoated Harley Davidson Black
perhaps i should see how these other parts I had done handle a few winters

until the rear axle seal breaks and then make a more educated decision

skid plate is $45 to powdercoat
rear axle is a bit over 100 with it disassembled of course
