can i just put head gasket on?

    moto metals and more!!
    just bought a 2000 tacoma with
    2.7 and head gasket is leaking.
    has 240k miles.hasnt ran very hot on gauge,
    can i just change head gasket and be ok?
    or is that to many miles?should i just look
    for a used low mileage engine?
    how long do these 2.7 usely last?
    also is this a common problem?

    5100's all on fours
    It's best to have the head checked while you have it off with that many miles too. If it is warped, cracked or needs a valve job then you could be changing the gasket sooner than you would like.
