Can I just use synthetic 5w-20 instead of 0w-20?

    Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
    I refuse to pretend that gas mileage is the only thing that is affected by changing an oil's viscosity.



    Follow the manual. I promise you, even if it's a few bucks more expensive, nobody out there is getting rich because of it.

    And it's not hard to find, OP just prefers brand that is hard to find in his area so he wants to cut corners.

    You know you can Google search for that engine model in various countries overseas to see what Toyota recommends right? (Hint: 5w30, in really hot climates 10w40. The horror!).

    So yeah stop scaring the guys who accidentally bought 5w20 instead of 0w.

    Not sure how oil can be hard to find for a person with a smartphone or a computer. Amazon has plenty of oils to choose from.

    I switched to water. Ya'll are suckers for believing engines NEED oil. Great savings and no issues for the first 30 feet.
