hello TW, first post for me. Just got my first taco last week. Looking to paint the grille and possibly black it all out. Or should I leave the emblem because of the sensor?? Also what matte black paint would you recommend ? Thank you

It’ll throw a code and you’ll have a warning light on your gauge cluster. Mud and sand cover the sensor enough for your warning light to come on so without a doubt painting over it will do the same.

Not sure why it would matter. Pro garnish is not see through. I painted my grill using Dupli-Color "trim and bumper" paint.

I thought the 18 garnish was a clear lexan type material?

Looks like it from the front, but solid on back. I thought it was see through at first too... Cosmetic only.
